Welcome to a new Era in the star studded history of the Conflict Heavyweight title. One of the most sought after and coveted titles in the region, Conflict 41 saw the belt change hands for the first time in two years. An incredible pairing between two of the most exciting and explosive heavyweights at Conflict 41 saw a new champion crowned; one that plans to make his own Hallmark in the division of Giants.

For many MMA fans in the Southeast, Tomar Washington needs no introduction. The 9-5-1 KO artist has been turning heads for years, and his ability to put foes away in the first round keeps them coming back. Washington has won over 75% of his fights via T/KO, every last one before the end of the second round, many in the opening round. He is a tenacious, respectable, eager warrior who is now set to defend his title against the best in the area. A champion in other promotions, Conflict MMA is excited to see Washington added to the championship ranks, and even more excited for future matches and clashes.

Firing out of the infamous Fitness Edge (home to a slew of incredible SE fighters) in the Myrtle Beach, SC area, join us today for a little post fight interview with the champion as we look toward 2017 and all the amazing potential ahead. Although, if Tomar had his way, he will be back in that cage before we ring in the new year.

This weeks Sunday Service; Mr. Tomar Washington!

R Eric Ellison: What a Main Event at Conflict 41! This fight had the whole placed turned around, and the explosive excitement saw you crowned the new Conflict Heavyweight Champion. How was that moment for you?

v
Tomar Washington: A-TRAIN has been a great champion. So, it’s Bitter sweet. To get a chance to fight a 7-1 Bellator vet, that was up hill battle (a sweet one) . A-Train is someone I consider a friend in the game (bitter ). I’m actually a fan of the guy, I have a 7 foot poster of him in my house ..

v
The Conflict HW title is one of the most coveted in the region. It’s been held by Adrian Henderson for about the last two years. What do you expect next when it comes time to defend the title?

This isn’t my 1st title, I have a few. It doesn’t matter if it’s a title fight to me, I just come to fight.

v
Are there any heavyweight contenders out there in particular you’d like to face?

v
There are a few guys out there, yea, but it’s cool.

v
Does becoming the champion in a new promotion add anything extra to the fight game for you, or is it still a grind to the “top?”

v
There is no top… once you believe that there is nothing left for you to do, that you’re the best at everything …Well, if you’re asking I’m I satisfied then it’s “No.” Does this belt add pressure to me, not really. Where I’m from, you thank God you made it home OK and you lived to see another day. So I’ve been that my whole life, the fighting is a blessing.

v
How did you celebrate this big win for you and your team?

v
Celebrate? I took the belt to the strip club, got it a lap dance, then took it to my sponsors.

v
Anybody you’d like to thank for helping get you prepped for this one?

v

v
2017? lol , I’m trying to do something before the end of this year!

v
Back to the title fight against “A-Train”, where do you feel you had the edge and took the momentum?

v
Lol, I’m only 5’9 he is 6’3, next question.

v
It’s been great catching up with the new Conflict Heavyweight Champ, and we look forward to having you on the show soon. One last question; what message do you have for any fighter looking to step into the Conflict cage with you?

Put some respect on my name
